Wedding Savvy, Inc. is a talented team of wedding and event consultants dedicated to creating stress-free event experiences for the most important people: our clients.   Wedding Savvy was founded in 2002 by owner Raquel Shutt and has been leading the charge in innovation ever since.  Our company is based on integrity, faith, and leveraging our decade of experience to create amazing and enjoyable events!

 A perfectionist by nature, an MBA through education. Raquel Shutt can turn impending disasters into miracles and it is this dedication, combined with professionalism and the ability to work with all personality types, that have made Wedding Savvy a success.  Raquel created Wedding Savvy in 2002 to offer a smart and savvy consultant that was rooted in the best interest of the client.  Due to her hard work and care for clients, her firm grew in clientele and in planners.  Raquel has carefully crafted a team of other talented, like minded individuals, featured below. 

Raquel earned her MBA from Loyola College in 2004 (go greyhounds!).  She resides in Annapolis with her  husband of eleven years and their three sons.  Raquel enjoys participating in the community as a volunteer coach for her children's sports teams as well as serving in her home parish church of St. Andrew by the Bay.   


Leslie Jefferson, Senior Consultant

Leslie Jefferson graduated from The University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management.  She also earned her Bachelor of Science in speech pathology from Towson University and later received her Masters in Speech and Hearing Science from East Carolina University.  Leslie has been serving brides with Wedding Savvy since 2004 and is now a Senior Consultant.  Leslie previously served as a site coordinator at an Eastern Shore reception facility.  Leslie is known for her calm demeanor, amazing personal skills, and her ability to deliver top notch events, like yours!

Gina is a graduate of Salisbury University.   Gina joined Wedding Savvy in 2010 as a day-of assistant and due to her diligent, thorough work and amazing client feedback, quickly rose to the position of Coordinator.  She currently holds the title of Lead Coordinator.  Gina is known for her attention to detail, professionalism, and ease to get along with.  Gina resides in Severna Park with her husband, Bobby and their beautiful daughter.
